Sunday, January 16

Breakfast
2 hardboiled eggs

Lunch
(nothing)

Dinner

Well, where do I begin about the event that I attended Sunday night. Melinda's gave me the ultimatum - stay 100% on track with the paleo or she'd have a margarita when she goes to Austin; Donkey delivered the warning that "remember you haven't drank in three weeks, so you better remember you'll probably get bombed. But of course, I walked in, and saw a woman hanging from the ceiling delivering champage into flutes, I of course immediately deviated off course. I mean, really, how often do you see something like that - and champage is, of course, my favorite. AND there was a strawberry in it, which is perfectly paleo under normal circumstances.

So I strutted the red carpet in my gorgeous gown, which happened to fit me even better because of the 10 lbs I have lost so far by going paleo, and turned the corner to be confronted by an entire mediterranean bar of olives, cured meats, and other Italian delicacies. I did manage to skip the gorgeously displayed bread and made myself a small plate of some proiscutto and olives and stayed on track (minus champagne #2 by this point).

Dinner was plated around 7:30 and it started with an Asian caesar salad - probably only thing non-paleo was the dressing, but I ate it anyway and enjoyed it (thanks Aimee for the advice). Dinner was a duo entree, consisting of a braised short rib and a miso glazed sea bass. I ate everything, including the chinese broccoli and...yes, the wasabi mashed potatoes (sorry, Melinda, I did it, and I know you are going to be mad).

Off to the dance floor I went with the girls, who then convinced me that we were going to do vodka shots (relax, Donkey, I only did two, and managed to stay on my feet all night). My WOD for the day definitely was the Cha Cha Slide/Electric Slide/Beyonce dancing that we did.

We hit the afterparty, which didn't end until 5am, but I still managed to wrangle up 7 hours of sleep.

It was an amazing day, I cannot wait till the pictures come back.

I don't feel at all guilty about deviating off course for a day. It was totally worth it and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I did feel a little sick on Sunday morning, but that I am attributing to the champagne/vodka mixture that was going on in my belly. Other than that, I got back on track on Monday, and that was that.

Melinda, I know you are going to be mad, and are going to tell me I am a bad partner. Relax buddy, the WODs this week will get their revenge on me. I am sorry I am a failure in your eyes and you can ditch me as a partner if you want. But all in all, you can have that margarita and not feel bad about it since I deviated first. Hope you'll forgive me :)
